3 PowerPoint Tools to Bring Your Presentation to the Next Level
Whether you're a student making your term presentation, or a small business owner making a pitch to a group of investors, PowerPoint is likely going to be the tool you use to make the magic happen. PowerPoint is a versatile tool with many features that can help you WOW your audience and make an excellent impression. Today, we are going to show you 3 of the most impactful tools that you can use to take your PowerPoint to the next level.
Icons
Under the “Insert” tab in PowerPoint, you can find the “Icons” button, which gives you access to hundreds of icons for any occasion. There are categories for business, commerce, buildings, occupations, people, and more! While these icons are very simple, they are very effective and can be used in almost any presentation. If you combine these with the two tools below, you will be well equipped to make a great presentation
Shapes & Smart Art
Right next to the “Icons” button are the “Shapes” and “SmartArt” buttons. Each of these will help you create more graphic representations for your presentations. The biggest mistake I see in PowerPoints is text taking up the entire slide with nothing to separate important text or direct the viewer to what is more important. By using the SmartArt and Shapes tools, you can easily segment an idea and direct your audience to the more important points by making them stick out more.
Design Ideas
Under the “Design” tab on the very far right, PowerPoint will suggest design ideas for your current slide. If you have nothing on your current slide, it will suggest some default designs to get you started. But if you take one or more of the icons mentioned above and put them in the slide, PowerPoint will provide design ideas based on the icons currently on the slide. Just look at how it changes 4 pasted icons into a much nicer looking slide:
By using each of the above tools, you can transform your next presentation into a meaningful, memorable experience for your audience!
